Validity of Environmental and Financial Kuznets Curve: The Case of Turkey

In this study, validity of Financial Kuznet’s Curve for 2002-2017 period and validity of Environmental Kuznet’s Curve for Turkey and for 1990-2017 period is investigated establishing with two different models and using  air quality data, financial development, foreign direct investment and per capita-income data and gini coefficient variables are analyzed with ADF unit root test and Bayer and Hanck (2012) cointegration tests. According to the analysis results obtained from the study, the Environmental Kuznets curve is valid but the Financial Kuznets Curve has not been found to be valid for Turkey's economy.
